JOHN D. LAMEY III, ESQ.

John D. Lamey III graduated, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001.  Prior to founding Lamey Law Firm, Mr. Lamey clerked for the Honorable Paulette Kane Flynn in Ramsey County, practiced tax law at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP, and was in-house counsel for  Marquette Financial Companies.  Mr. Lamey concentrates his practice on personal and business bankruptcy, secured lending, and general business and corporate law.  Mr. Lamey's passion is helping debtors through the complex bankruptcy code to ensure them a fresh start.  Mr. Lamey also represents clients in contested bankruptcies and other litigation in bankruptcy court.  Mr. Lamey is a memberof the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, and the MSBA Bankruptcy Section.  Mr. Lamey also volunteers his time to SMRLS.

ELAINE D. W. WISE, ESQ.

Elaine Wise is the associate attorney with Lamey Law Firm.  She grew up in Mankato, Minnesota and attended college at Minnesota State University, Mankato where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a minor in English with a writing emphasis.  Elaine attended law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.  She graduated from St. Thomas in May of 2007 and was admitted to practice law in Minnesota in October of 2007.  Elaine’s hobbies include running, gardening, and walking her miniature Dachshund. Elaine is a memberof the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the MSBA Bankruptcy Section. 

SHARI L. NELSON, PARALEGAL

 

Shari graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in March of 2006 with an Associates Degree for Paralegal. Shari began working for the firm in September of 2006 as John’s paralegal and hasn't looked back since. Before coming to work for Lamey Law Firm, Shari interned at a criminal law firm in downtown Minneapolis, and had no prior experience working with bankruptcy cases, but found it to be very rewarding. Shari really enjoys helping people through this difficult time and to help them see that bankruptcy is not the end of the world but that it will give you a fresh start. When Shari is not at work she enjoys reading a good book, watching a good movie, the outdoors and cooking for friends and family.

BLAIR INSLEY, LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Blair Insley began working for Lamey Law Firm, P.A. in August of 2008 as a receptionist and legal assistant.  She is currently a student at Anoka Ramsey Community College working towards her Associates Degree.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dogs, family and friends. 

Meredith Sherritt, Legal Assistant

 

Meredith began working for Lamey Law Firm in 2006 as a legal assistant and receptionist.  She is currently responsible for working with clients through pre-filing matters and data entry.  Meredith is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.  When she is not working or attending class, she enjoys biking, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Crystal A. Gagliardi, Legal Assistant

Crystal joined the Lamey Law Firm staff in September of 2008.  Her primary responsibilities are to assist attorneys and staff with the preliminary procedures of the bankruptcy process.  She enjoys working with clients and strives to provide quality service to everyone.  Crystal is currently in the process of completing her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Management and Innovation at Concordia University, Saint Paul.  In her free time, Crystal enjoys reading, playing basketball, volunteering, and spending time with her family and three Italian Greyhounds.
